Hope u r doing fine...am doing fine here...:)
On Saturday, me and my colleague went out to discover more of Tokyo and here is some glimpse of it! :)
On Sunday, since my colleague has a family and is busy with them, i went out alone to find more and more of this 'World's Costliest city'!!
On Saturday, we went to
1. Tokyo Tower
(inside that is a Wax museum - of most famous figures of World history! From India, they have Gandhi and Mother Teresa)
2. Asakusa - Sensoji Buddhist temple (one of the biggest temples in Tokyo)
3. Ueno - a big park and to a market called 'Ameyoko' ...very famous market...
And then i went 2 his house...met his wife and his little kid (Ku Ya)..very nice and cute baby! stayed there for some time and then came bk 2 room...
Check the links sent by my colleague (at the end of this mail)....these snaps r from his camera...(i feel somewat dark...??) mine, yet to give for developing!)
do tell me if you could open all the links (dont try 2 download the 'movie' and the 'zip' file link....takes hell lot of time!)
(Index 1 - has Tokyo tower snaps - Last foto here has me and Matsumoto-san, my colleague)
(Index 2 - has Tokyo tower Wax museum snaps and last 3 are from Asakusa-Sensoji temple)
(Index 3 - has Asakusa-Sensoji temple snaps, last one is with his baby boy, Ku Ya, before that, the 3 snaps are from Ueno park and bkground is the Market)
On Sunday, set out alone to these places...
1. Akihabara - Electronic town of Tokyo...u get all electronic items here..(u name it, u have it here)
2. Ginza - something like a mini-shopping center (very huge)...Sony has the biggest showroom in Asia here...6 floors of all great and new and superb stuff..for display and demo....saw some small robots also!!!! (hv snaps of the same!)
3. Shinjuku - This place is the one where u can find most of the sky-scrappers in Tokyo...very much a business area...the Tokyo Metropolitan Govt Office has 2 blocks of sky-scrappers here...(55 floors each) and the visitors are allowed in the 45th floor of the office (North and South Observatory, they call)..so, i went there...awesome view...cool snaps i have taken...( yet to give for developing)
4. Shibuya - In the month of may 2005, i was seeing a program on Discovery Travel and Living channel where they had something called '24 hrs in Tokyo'...there, i had seen this station...this is the Asia's busiest Metro station and Crossing...Nearly 1.5lac people cross the street for every 2mins!!!! had noted down in my book ...and told myself that i wud like 2 visit that place one day... and that day was yday!! i was one of the 1.5lac who cross the street every 2 mins!!! its true and amazing...u dont need 2 walk...simply stand and people will push u!!:)) (Sony showroom in Ginza was also in my book)
Unfortunately, i could not go 2 Asia's biggest FISH MARKET called Tsukuji (Suku-ji)..its closed on Sundays....:(((( its very near from the Shinjuku station (No. 3)...anyway, saw some good fish items in the Ueno Market (on sat, with Matsumoto-san)!...but wud love 2 go and see the Fish market...Asia's largest...market daily starts at 3AM ...beleive it or not...that much huge is that...:)
