City office...

It had been around 1.5 years that I worked in city office (1.5years in Whitefield and earlier in Koramangala and Airport road, typical city offices!)
Wondering what in the name is 'City office'?? Ok, ok... city office is nothing but the office which is in the city premises! Now-a-days, given the space constraint as well as corporate tax exemptions, most of the companies (read: IT/BT) are moving to outskirts of the city (In my case, Bangalore outskirts means 2 fave destinations 1. Electonics City (Phase I and II) 2. Whitefield / ITPL)
So, given this scenario, even my company has a huge 20-acre Bangalore Corporate office in E-City but luckily I fell into the project/product line who work from city office and my city office is in Cunningham road (nearby landmark/s: very near to the prestigious Vidhana Soudha and also near to Shivajinagar bus terminus)
Working in city office has both the pros and cons (as usual!)
Pros are:
1. Flexible working time (many people in my office come by 1100hrs and beyond that! - This time is almost half-a-day over for outskirts office employees!!)
2. You come in your own vehicle (NO company bus transport) and this, I feel, is like getting more freedom!
3. All facilities (Hotels, Pizzas, Malls) are nearby and when you feel you want to break for sometime, you are free to do so!
Cons are:
1. You drive! This is the biggest con I see coz driving in Bangalore traffic (either 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler) means you are anywhere, anytime prone to get hit by somebody! Totally chaotic, crazy traffic...Eventhough you are careful enough, there will be many chances that the other vehicle is ready to attack you!
2. You tend to stay back and work later during the day...In comparison to outskirts office where the time is fixed (say, 0800hrs to 1630hrs) as you need to catch the bus, here there is no such constraint! Kind of good and bad :)
Anyways, need to be with time, cope-up with changes and move ahead...thatz life! :)
