Good Morning Bangalore!

Today morning, i messaged RJ Vasanthi of Radio City about the good enthu response got from some fellow Bangaloreans, in response to my initiative and the segment of Eye Donation (where i was on air, live, with Vasanthi on Monday, 1005hrs to 1040hrs) and a note of thanks for making this happening. After few minutes, i got a call and guess who was on the other side...yeah..it was RJ Vasanthi again!!! She told that she will put me ON AIR for 2 mins so that i can offer my thanks to Bangalore and also reiterate the cause for which i have started my initiative and the contact details for the same ( giftyoursight@gmail.com ) I went on air, wished and thanked all and urged more and more Bangaloreans to get aware of this noble cause and spread the message... LIVE, ON AIR, on Radio City 91FM Bangalore

Today Morning i was ON AIR LIVE, in a segment called ' Bangalore Inspires ', speaking about my Eye Donation initiative to the always enthu-filled RJ Vasanthi!! It is a great feeling to go on air and express your ideas/views to the people of Bangalore...And u know, i got a good response instantly with lots of SMS flooding, for some queries / for support of this cause! The office of Radio City is pretty small and even small is the Recording room, from where the music is pumped out to the City 24/7!! Vasanthi made me feel very comfortable with the before-hand discussions about the topics that would come on air...so that you will feel at ease while answering them ON AIR! While coming out, at 1100hrs, i met RJ Cindu, who hosts the segment next to RJ Vasanthi's 'Good Morning Bangalore'! RJ Feona was on leave today and RJ Darius and RJ Sunaina Lal were not in the office at that time (i mean they usually come in the late noon for their evening show!) Its awesome and i tru...

Visa to the US of A!!

Had been to Chennai for my L1B Visa interview on Monday and it went fine. Just now, i got my passport with the Visa stamped! And u know, this the validity of this Visa is for 3 good years...upto Jan 2009!!!!!!!!!!! Am pretty exited about this (even though i have travelled to China and Japan and somehow unluckily missed Europe) as this is kind-of crossing the first hurdle to enter to everyone's dream country, me in the top-run! :)

Happy 2nd year Birthday for TEJAS!!

Trip to 'DoDDa Makali'...Around 16 hours to go!

After a long time, i am setting out along with my cab friends for a trip to a Trekking, Fishing and Boating picnic spot called "doDDa Makali" which is around 120kms from Bangalore, near Mandya. Looking forward to have a great fun there! Update you more on the return from this trip...

Capsules not packed in a Capsules sheet!!

From past 3 days, i am taking some capsules for a small health problem i have. I bought a sheet of this capsules (10 in no.) from a medical shop 3 days back and i am having 2 of them daily. Yesterday evening, when i was about to go for one more round of having the capsules, as per the prescription, i noticed that 2 capsules are missing from the sheet! Here, missing means the capsules are not packed at all while manufacturing the sheet! I was totally taken back as this was the first time in my life i am seeing something going wrong in medicines! Then, i went back to the shop where i bought this sheet and they promptly checked for the Batch No. and then gave me a replacement of the 2 capsules saying sorry for this (anyways, it was not their fault though) Fine, not a problem as long as i got the capsules replaced...but i was thinking of how this can happen in medicines and that too from India's premier Pharmaceutical company. 1. The company is Ranbaxy and i suppose, they are kind-of ...

'Crater filling' exercise on ITPL road, in the peak hour!

Yesterday, as i was commuting back to my home, in my office cab @ 1745hrs, we saw an unexpected traffic block in a place, called ITPL road. This road and a section in this road had a huge potholes...hmmm...appropriately called CRATERS in the middle of the road and this made the life of all vehicle drivers a hell driving thru this stretch! This Crater was in place from past 6 months and nobody bothered / cared about this stretch, even though this was a road that was leading out of the prestigious ITPL! But yesterday, we saw an unexpected 'Crater filling' exercise taken up by the concerned people...this is the good part of the story but the bad...er...the worst part of the story is that this exercise was taken up not during the non-peak hour session, where the traffic will be less compared to the peak hour...but during the peak hour and that too during the time of people leaving the office in the evening at 1745hrs!! Who the hell gives them this idea/logic/whatever of blocking a...

Call from Radio City Bangalore!

Just now, had a 10-minutes call from Ms. Vasanthi of Radio City Bangalore and i was totally surpirsed by the call. This call was regarding my Eye Donation Awareness initiative and Radio city would like to put me On Air regarding this topic! As this monday, i will be traveling to Chennai (official visit!) and the Radio City program is scheduled for every Mondays, i will not be here on this monday but hopefully i can make it on the 30th Jan 2o06! So, let me wait and watch...:) But the bottomline here is not to feature myself on Radio City but to convey the message that i need to tell using my blog/webspace and creating and increasing the awareness of this greatest donation of all!

BSNL Broadband not working...reason? Password change!

Day before night, before logging off from my BSNL Broaband connection, i had reset my *default* password of the URL where i can view my broadband Usage hours. This happened very fast (luckily!) and then i closed the connection. But yesterday morning when i tried to connect to the net, i could not do it...there was no packets movement at all!! Yesterday the whole day it happened like this. Initially i thought the server might be down and hence remained quiet. But as this continued for the whole day, my suspicion stared on my phone line as well as modem. Today morning also i tried but in vain. So, i asked my bro to contact the BSNL concerned authorities and enquire regarding the problem. And u know what the answer we got when my bro told about the problem? It was really surprising and shocking to hear this....the authorities told that if the default password is changed then there will be no connection...so, we should retain the same *default* password! This is so pathetic...First of all...

BA 'n' Galore!

Today, when i was standing in the bus stop, at 0715hrs, waiting for my company cab to pick me up, i saw a BA (British Airways) flight pass over my head (Oh! not really over my head but 20000feet above my head!)...I think this was a B-747 Jumbo, not sure...Anyways, it was good sight to see BA flight in Bangalore, also given today's blue clear sky and the morning cold along with the sun rays hitting the skin! :) After sometime, while i was commuting, i was thinking about the connection between these two cities, made possible by BA...London and Bangalore, two old and amazing cities by itself...But when it comes to infrastructure issues and when it comes to the 'service' provided (by the Airport staff, by the Auto, Taxis outside), how different these two cities are...Ask any London-ite who just landed in this flight and came out of the airport and s/he will tell you how pathetic the stuff here is...Already, a 'pathetic' kind of impression would have been built...Why? He...

Weekend started in Traffic Jam!

Yesterday was a longest day, in terms of the ‘journey’ from my office to my home. I and my fellow friends started off to home by taking the 1745hrs cab. Normally, it takes 1.5hrs to 2hrs to reach my home, depending on the traffic. But yesterday was a different one! We (all cab travelers) got struck in a huge traffic jam, on the Outer Ring Road (Opp to Intel office), which we got to know on reaching that the jam has been in place from almost an hour! Since we did not have any options of turning back (or taking a U-turn to enter the other side of the road), our vehicle was also added to the jam. We stayed on in that jam spot, with no vehicular movement at all, for about a 1hr+…In between, me and my friend went out for ‘a walk’ in between that stranded traffic and went to a local juice shop over there, to buy a bottle of Juice and some chocolates for our (all cab members) stomach! This gave us some relief…J Luckily after a long time (after 1.5hrs of we standing there), some policemen re...

[A Mail Fwd] A Paradigm Shift

d One evening a scholar was addressing the participants on the concept of work culture. One of the participants asked the following question: "I am a senior manager of Materials Department and I joined an organization 25 years ago as an Engineer Trainee and over the last 25 years I have gone through every experience in the organization. During the initial part of my career, the job was very challenging and interesting. However, all those exciting days are gone since I do not find my joy any more interesting because there is nothing new in my job. I am now feeling bored because I am doing a routine job. However, Sir, I am living in the same house for over forty years, I am the son for the same parents for over forty five years, I am the father for the same children for the past ten years and the husband for the same lady for the past twenty years !( the toughest job!) In these personal roles I do not feel bored Please tell me why I am bored of the routine in the office and not in...

My view on difference between China and Japan!

I had mailed my Tokyo city snaps to my friend and i got back a reply from him asking what difference you found between China (had been there 3 years back) and Japan (been now, 3 months back)? Here is my reply and my personal opinion to that...:) Japan and China almost same thara idhe....people are good...but in Japan, ppl r more influenzed by the electronic/digital lifestyle...they hv all kinds of latest gadgets at their disposal...and if u r in tokyo, then obviously u shud b very rich sir..'coz tokyo is worlds costliest city and i hv personally seen it!! one big difference in eating habits of china and japan is: japan ppl food is a subset of china ppl food!!! i mean, chinese can eat anything that is moving but not with japanese...they eat more of sea food (may be coz they r in a island!) but No dog, rat, ox or something crazy like the chinkis...:) overall, japan trip was a gud experience 4 me...in terms of personal life (stayed alone for 26 days! and saw the beautiful tokyo ci...
