Different faces of Mumbai...All-In-One city, rarely to be found!!

Mumbai is host to lot of varieties of people...people with varieties of lifestyle...Right from our own Bollywood people, who have the ultimate luxuries in life to people who have no place to sleep...Forget about their food...They sleep in footpaths, dividers, below the flyovers and more than all...besides drains!!!
Sometimes I work in shifts here [Customer is the KING..So v need to support our customer, in London, 4.5hrs behind us!! :((] and from past 1 week (this week also) am into 2nd shift (1430hrs to 2330hrs)...So, when I go back to home [in a chauffeur driver Ford Icon A/C car!! :))] @ around 0000hrs midnight, I see these variety of people, trying to get sometime out of their daily routine for sleep...in places mentioned above! Atleast I haven't seen this kind of BPL (Below Poverty Lines) ppl in namma bengalooru, but seeing here, I just kept wondering the different faces of life one can have/face in this human life! Just to fill their stomach, ppl have to go thru wat all in this short span of time called life!!
This is one face of Mumbai, who contribute to around 50% of the city's huge, mega population...and the another face of Mumbai is just opposite...totally opposite in every minute aspect of these ppl's life...life of a celebrity, life of a Bollywood star!! (In between these 2 faces are we, the middle class people!!)
Ah, there I am, forgot the two other faces...very different personalities of life...apun bhai bol rela hai...tu kaun hai biDu?? ...got it?? yeah, the hub of underworld..the hub of 'bai's ...and one more...guess??? didn't get?? hmmm...India's biggest prostitution hub...yeah, Kamatipura aka the Red Light Area...the 'DEN' for rich and poor, young and old!!! :))
One more thing about this city is the traffic at night, midnight 0000hrs...This city has amazing traffic, I think you cannot see it in bangalore..at this time!! There are so many vehicles plying on the road, sometimes I look into the watch and check whether it is 2000hrs or 0000hrs!!! Inspite of most of the major roads being 6/8 lane roads (Yes, 8 lane Concrete road - good example is the Airport road!!), there will be traffic jams...inspite of so many flyovers, they have traffic jams, inspite of such a efficient and amazing transport system (Local trains and BEST buses), there are traffic jams...just wonder how many people are here and using the system...hmmm...if the same amount of crowd comes to benda-kaaL-ooru, god knows what happens!! (*gives chill in my spine!*)
On the whole, Mumbai is Mumbai...no damn city can beat this Financial capital of India, no damn city can beat the length and breadth of this city and no damn city people can beat the enthu and life of these people!!
An update: Yesterday when I was going back home @ 0030hrs, I saw a local pass by and believe it or not, the comapartments were totally, totally jam-packed!!! People were traveling in foot-board!!!!! Even I saw some ladies traveling...hmmm...very bold ah?? Not only locals, even the BEST buses run at 0100hrs and there will be lot of people inside it...I can say 60-70% filled!!! I was just dumb-struck seeing this...:)
Long live Mumbai...the 'bai' of all cities...the City that hardly sleeps!!!! {in all sense!!:o)}

Kalale after 7 years and Unbelievable Bangalore-Mysore Highway!

This weekend was an awesome one...everything went fine as planned! After a long 6-7 years, i visited my dad's village 'Kalale', around 4 kms from the Nanjangud town, which in turn is 25kms from Mysore city. It is the time of the 10-day festival / Jatra in the village and saturday, 18th March 2006 was the day for the grand Kalale Rathothsava / Kalale Ther!!! Me and my cousin-bro started off from Bangalore on friday evening @ 1745hrs in his car...We took the banagalore-mysore highway, the new 4-lane road with a 2mtr divider in between the road making it one-way on either side! The road is awesome and you can move in breathtaking speed (we drove at the speed of 120-130kmph!!!) and i stongly feel this is the ONLY good job (on the infrastructure front) the government has done! :) Its the kind of worth the wait for this type of beautiful road...The most happiest person to drive on this road will be our good old KSRTC drivers, who would have gone thru hell for so long years...now,

Recap of 2010 & the Fresh 2011...

Happy New Year 2011 and Happy Sankranti, Pongal to all!! Hope we all have a rocking and exiting 2011 ahead... Having missed out of the blog scene, lot of things have passed in past year of 2010 which I would like to write... 2010 - what an year of ups and downs and ups :-) On the professional front, I changed the job from one US blue-chip major to another US blue-chip major & apparently both being strong rivals to one another...Am talking about my job change from Hewlett-Packard ( HP India ) to IBM India ! Both are great companies to work where both of them share a great history of innovation and culture. However once inside a company and totally involved in your job, all these will take a second priority and there comes your job&role as the first priority. A Unique Experience In My Life...

I will word this as my unique experience in my life because I had never undergone this stuff earlier in my 28 years of journey called Life and I never want this to happen again in my life...I dont want this to happen to any one else also... Feb 14th will be etched in my book of life for two unique reasons - one sad and one happy! The happy part is that my first car delivery happened on this day and I was very happy for myself and my family for getting a good car (at last!). The happiness is still continuing and will be there in future also...
